RULES

WFDF Rules 2009 (http://wfdf.org/rules/WFDF%20Rules%20of%20Ultimate%202009.pdf) apply with following exceptions

  • The tournament is going to be 5 against 5 on 8 fields of size 60m x 22m
  • The turf fields are of the last generation and all kind of shoes allowed by the WFDF rules can be used.
  • Games will be of 40 minutes. No half time.
  • Brick Point is 10 steps from the endzone line.
  • 1 Timeout per team, not to be taken in the last 5 minutes.
  • Point limit is 15. When the time is over, the point is finished. If the teams have at least a 1 point difference the game is over, otherwise an extra point is played.
  • The losers of the previous game will keep score on the same field.
  • Because the fields are one beside the other, for the field 2, 3, 6 and 7 the scorers and the subs must stay behind the endzone (sorry for this, but it was the only possibility).

FORMAT

JUNIOR Division

The will be a Pickup team called AllStars! This team will never play parallely to the other Junior ones.

Every team should borrow 1-2 Players per game to the AllStar team.

Having a good player rotation we would like to encourage the interaction between junior teams, starting to build friendship reletions which will go on with the year inside and outside the field.

The results against the AllStar team will be discarded.

 

4 pools of 5 Round Robin. 1v2, 3v4 and 5v5 Semis and Placements. 6 games for each team.

PRO Division

4 pools of 4 Round Robin. 1v2, 3v4 Quarter, Semis and Placements. 6 games for each team.

 

OPEN Division

1 pool of 4 and 3 of 3  Round Robin. 1v2 Quarter, Semis and Placements. last 5 teams build a lower pool and play RR. The results from the pool games will be carried. 5-6 games for each team.

 

WOMEN Division

2 pool of 4 and 2 of 3  Round Robin. 1v2 Quarter, Semis and Placements. last 6 teams build 2 lower pools of 3 and play RR. Then cross and placement games. 5-7 games for each team.
